   About Power of County
The Power of County brings the success and failures of turn of the century boomtowns into the forefront of their music. Highly reminiscent of days gone by with lyrics that reflect chaos, excess, lust and murder mixed with hard hitting rock n roll that is guaranteed to make any spectator want to buy a horse and start brandishing a six shooter.

During the summer of O7, they successfully supported Jim Goad in opening for the national act Hank Williams III. Based out of Portland, Oregon the Power of County has been lauded by regional press as punk rock cowboys on a mission to bring Western back to Country.

P.O.C.'s new, third full length album "See You in Rock 'n' Roll Heaven" on the Union Records pays homage to the recently departed icons.

Reviews: "Power of County have ...produced as fine an album of ass whuppin’ country rock as I’ve heard in a long time. In less than 30 minutes this album covers all the bases with frantic country rockers and booze soaked ballads. Death, prison and greed all figure." Paul Kerr, Americana UK

"(T)his is an exceptional in ya face take no prisoners Country album full of the licks and kicks that most contemporary Country music lacks. It is absolutely ornery with tobacco spitting arrangements with great tempo changes that call out for the listener to keep up. How could you not like this album, it calls out for a party, so pass the bottle of whiskey and lets dance! You have won us over with this cd, yes definitely impressed us all." Peter Merritt, Acid Country PBS Australia

"We wanted to make something that sounded like summer about to end, where there is still a vibrant tone in the air, but you know like a harvest moon that everything is about to change once again."

LOST WEEKEND

Yes, this is the one I have been working on with Jerry Campbell (Millionaire Magicians, Spider Virus, Touchy Subjects) and as always Sean Flora. The "Lost Weekend" e.p. is just a county or parish compared to the state of the full length we are still building.

The e.p. is getting pressed up and will be out in mid August but you get to hear it first on MySpace. I hope all of you enjoy it, these songs really are close to home, and out of countless recording sessions, "Lost Weekend" was possible my favorite.

Jun 23 2008 8:14 PM

Hey there RBB Friend!

Can you believe it? We're finally taking pre-release orders on RoseBud Blue's debut album, "Depending on the Glass"! ... You may be asking yourself, "why do I need to get my copy of this hot new album now, a couple of weeks before it's actually out??" Well friends, let me tell you...pre-release sales will not only be delivered to your very own doorstep the day it is out in June but your rockin' package (addressed, licked and sealed by the girls themselves!) will also include an autographed picture of the RBB girls!

As you can imagine, we are very excited about completing this album and know that we couldn’t have done it with out all of the support we received along the way. We sincerely want to thank you for being a part of our journey.

So, head on over to RoseBudBlue. com and pick up your very own copy today...before it becomes the “cool” thing to do.

RBB

Depending on the Glass
